At last, I was almost there! My day had been riddled with changed flight connections and close calls, but I was finally approaching my final gate. I knew that if my daughter had not been calling me and continuously updating me to the new changes, I would never had made it to this gate.

My visit to Houston,Texas had been an exciting one for me, I was invited to give a concert for a retirement center. I’d met wonderful people there, and had been able to squeeze in some time with family as well. Now I would soon be home and I sincerely hoped that on this leg of my flight, my luggage would make it to!

The airport was busy and the halls were filled with hurrying passengers as I made my way toward my last gate. Looking down, I realized that I couldn’t see my ticket in the side pocket of my purse. Oh no, I couldn’t have lost it I thought. With no empty chairs in sight, I moved to the side of the busy hallway and knelt on the floor. Going through my purse quickly, I practically gasped in relief as I finally found it! Thankfully the gate was not far and I gratefully relaxed into a seat near my boarding group.

I had barely settled down when I heard the loudspeaker. Expecting the usual announcements about luggage, safety or late passengers, I casually listened, then I heard them call my name. In disbelief, I ignored it at first, but then it was repeated. With mixed feelings of embarrassment and wondering if this could be bad news, I moved to the desk and identified myself.

The employee repeated my name and then handed me something….my billfold! I was speechless! It had been found by an honest airline employee who knew just how to report it for quick identification. I had unknowingly left it on the floor where I had stopped to locate my ticket!

Swirling thoughts flooded my mind; overwhelming gratefulness, and an unbelievable miracle, nothing was missing from my wallet. I attempted to thank the employee, fighting back tears and thanking God!

The story above transpired in 2023, certainly an OLD miracle, but remembering it today in 2026, it has brought NEW trust and has unfolded NEW beauty and truth into my life! It has also placed a NEW song in my heart, Psalms 98:1, says we should sing a new song to the Lord because He has done marvelous things and has gotten the victory. He is also making me a NEW creature; 2 Corinthians 5:17, says“Therefore if any man be in Christ he is a New creature…”, and in Revelation 21:1, it tells us He is helping prepare me for the NEW heaven and the NEW earth!

In this new year of 2026, we serve a God who loves the old as well as the new, and desires to give us new hearts so that we can be candidates for the Kingdom!

One of my favorite authors has said that we never have to fear the future, unless we forget what God has done for us in the past! “Turn thou us unto thee, O LORD, and we shall be turned; renew our days as of old.”, Lamentations 5:21.

May the growth and the blessings you experienced in 2025 be active in dispelling any fears of the coming year. Please write to us and let us know what is happening in your life. We at Grace Abounds Ministries are praying for you and please pray for us as we are one year closer to His soon coming….while not forgetting yesteryear; How wonderful!

We are faith-based and your financial support is especially important in making this ministry possible. Any amount is extremely helpful and supports the ministry’s forward movement and our service to the world!

We are in the process of finalizing our first book, adding live clips and more spiritual nuggets to the web site, plus opportunities for you to make purchases. We are also preparing for an exciting podcast, and this is not all.

Remember that “moreover the law entered, that the offense might abound (make more evident), But where sin abounds, grace does much more abound! “Romans 5:20
