More than 50 million K through twelve students will be attending school this fall in our country! It’s true, fall has arrived and those yellow school buses are out on the roads. Years ago, school always started on the Monday after Labor Day, and we busily prepared in excitement for that day! Today the starting date varies around the country but one thing is always the same; some feel that summer was much too short, and other children can’t wait to get back, ready for new challenges and friends!
Certainly, we recognize that the world has changed. And this change has impacted our communities, our schools, our homes, and our hearts, right where our children and young people live. The challenges in our homes are present, and we spend much time on our knees praying for Gods intervention in the lives of our little ones and the older ones who have struggles that even we, as parents, may be unaware of. I spent much time on my knees praying for my little girl, and God helped me, through his love, to teach my precious daughter that He does not change,( as we read in Malachi 3:6 ) and the same love He had poured out during her first years of life He would continue to supply through the coming years.
I plead with parents, single or not, to take time at home to prepare those precious children for what is ahead. As a single parent from my daughter’s early years, I understand the daily requirements of work, finances, and home duties, constantly striving to be an example, fair and wise, and the list goes on and has increasing demands in these last days.
Through the mountains and valleys, In Luke 1:37 I found that with God all things are possible. 2 Corinthians 12:19 says, His grace is sufficient; and His strength is made perfect in our weakness!
Partner with Him who has never lost a battle. One of my favorite authors shares realistic wisdom…” to parents who have begun training wrong, I say do not despair”. She encourages parents to give their hearts to God and in this they will obey His Word.
Ultimately, she continues. “Take up your work, (as a parent), with earnest prayer and faithfully endeavor to teach your children that it is their privilege to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit every day through prayer. Parents you will gain an experience that will make your ministry to your children a perfect success!
Therefore, as the leaves change and school continues, whether at home or in a class room, they will be prepared to not only have a positive outlook on school themselves, but to share and live that outlook with their peers in and out of the classroom!
The same principles of preparation are being applied here at Grace Abounds Ministries. We are immersed in preparation for the next steps God has led us to in our service to you!
As we mentioned last month, The Alabaster Box Women’s Retreat is being held in September and Grace Abounds will be attending. We will be introducing our first book, “22 Days of Grace”. This book contains real life stories of grace in partnership with God!
Our plans for the new Flash drive are being finalized, our radio clips are now on the air, and the MuHea project (our project combing health and music), is taking shape! All these exciting efforts require your prayers and financial support. We are so thankful for your dedication to this ministry and its work. Donations of any size are a major help to us as we mover further into these new projects, reaching out to a world desperately in need of encouragement and support in finding meaning in our chaotic times.
As we all prepare for the school of Heaven, let us remember that: Moreover the law entered, that the offense might abound (be seen more clearly). But where sin abounds, grace does much more abound! Romans 5:20 Until next time…..
